چکیده

Afforestation is a primary response to the loss and degradation of mangroves worldwide. The successful restoration mangrove ecosystems in part indicated by rebuilding macrobenthic community. However, community dynamic benthic macrofauna after afforestation was poorly known. Here, three quarterly surveys (2006–2007, 2014–2015, 2019–2020) sediment grain size were conducted mix-planted stand (Kandelia obovata + Sonneratia apetala) Xiamen Tong’an Bay, China. Our results showed that structure differed significantly afforestation. These differences accompanied declines species number, abundance, biomass, diversity (H’), as well fining sediments. We also found epifauna infauna exhibited different adaptabilities vegetation. Additionally, shifts composition functional feeding groups observed, indicating modification trophic recommend future programs call for guide coordinate habitats taxa.

Community Structure and Biodiversity of Intertidal Sandy Beach Macrofauna in Chabahar Bay, Northeast of Oman Gulf, IR Iran

Biodiversity and community structure of macrofauna of the intertidal sandy beach at Chabahar Bay were studied for a period of ten months in 2007. A total of 32 species were observed and identified in this study so that polychaete with 16 species was numerically dominant. The results showed changing densities were influenced by monsoon season so that maximum density (1935.47 ind/m2) was observed...

Temporal variations of benthic diatom community and its main influencing factors in a subtropical river, China.

Benthic diatoms are the main component in many aquatic ecosystems such as streams, creeks and rivers, and they function as important primary producers and chemical modulators for other organisms in the ecosystems. In this study, the composition of benthic diatoms was investigated and further explored the primary physicals and chemicals affecting their temporal variations in the upper Han River,...
